Meet the Team
iJet Technologies has assembled a strong, diverse team with significant experience in software development, aerospace analytics, flight operations, aerospace systems engineering, cloud architecture and data management.
John brings over 25 years of experience in military and commercial flight operations, aerospace product and technology strategy. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for iJet. Prior to iJet, John was a senior consultant with SeaTec, focused on strategic and financial analysis of aerospace technology. He is a current commercial pilot and former naval aviator with over 10000 flight hours, holds an Airline Transport Pilot license and is type-rated on the Boeing 757/767. John received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Paul has over two decades of experience in Air Traffic Management, flight-test, and software creation developing systems in NASA and commercial aerospace. Paul’s expertise in remote satellite telemedicine earned a NASA Administrator’s Award. His airborne communications and weather system research merited two NASA TGIR awards. He developed an airborne Linux distribution and application platform for commercial airplanes. Successes include software deployment to a major US airline providing conflict-free, time and efficient route deviation during field trials, culminating in a commercial product. Paul holds a Master’s in Computer Science and enjoys hiking, woodworking, and assisting in a light sport all-electric airplane design.
Colleen Richey’s entrepreneurial style and 25+ years in HR, Financial Management, Business Operations, and Recruiting has equipped her to build and move iJet forward. Co-owning a business for 18 years taught her to build and manage a business. As the Executive Director of a non-profit with over 500 volunteers she created teams that drove value by assessing employee and volunteer capabilities. Colleen has been here since the beginning; overseeing plans, creating culture, moving business operations forward, running the day to day financial operations, benefits and HR management. Her goal is to create a place people love to work. A Washington native and University of Washington alum, Colleen enjoys boating, skiing, and Seattle sports.
Dean is the Product Manager for Flight Deck Applications, responsible for the generation and development of airborne application products. He has over 20 years of experience in both commercial and military flight operations, and aerospace technology integration, bringing significant leadership experience managing complex and diverse teams across a wide spectrum of sensitive aerospace technology projects. Dean is a former naval aviator and currently a commercial airline pilot with type ratings in the Boeing 757/767/777 and Airbus 319/320. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Finance from the University of Vermont.
Dick Weldon is responsible for managing the agile development process and the functional architecture and analysis for customer facing applications. Dick brings 30 years of experience in the software industry with 20 of them in Aerospace. Dick’s background includes functional architecture, project management, and process management for Boeing and AT&T wireless as well as application and database development for startups and small companies. In his spare time Dick directs a volunteer choir, creates choir arrangements and tutors grade school students in music. He has also taught classes in software analysis and architecture.
Bob has been with iJet for 3 years and is responsible for design assistance and product development for applications used with the iJet platform. Prior to iJet he worked for 9 years as a management pilot in Flight Operations at United Airlines, where he served as the primary liaison in the operations center between Flight Operations and all other operating divisions. He is a current commercial pilot and has type ratings on the Boeing 757, 767, and 777 aircraft. Prior to his commercial aviation career he served in the US Navy flying the P-3 Orion aircraft with operational experience throughout the world. He attended Northwestern University and has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
An experienced aerospace software engineer specializing in development and qualification of critical airborne systems, Eddy holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington. Prior to iJet, Eddy worked on projects for NASA/JPL, Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and GE Aviation. Eddy is also a lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seattle University, teaching hands-on laboratory classes to junior students. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, skiing, playing tennis and ping-pong.
Asha is a systems engineer with over 20 years of experience in the avionics industry. She has held key roles in design, development, verification and certification phases for several commercial flight safety products. At iJet, she specializes in aircraft data acquisition, normalization and analysis. In addition, she is a lead member of the systems integration and aircraft testing team. Asha graduated from The City University, London with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Control, Instrumentation and Systems Engineering. Asha is a dedicated band mom and avid Seattle Sounders fan. When she’s not practising yoga and trying for the perfect handstand, she is likely wining and dining with friends and family.
Zach works as a software engineer on a number of iJet’s products including the platform and web applications. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for several years before discovering the joys of software development. He’s worked on web software development since working on streaming audio at RealNetworks in the mid-90s.
Ryan brings a lifelong passion for technology and a broad array of development experience to iJet. Growing up in Washington, he spent most of his childhood tinkering with computers and learning to write code. He worked in desktop support and system/network administration for many years, and was responsible for keeping everything running in around 50 offices in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Then he moved to Kansas City and started work as a software engineer, where he designed an enterprise cloud point-of-sale system and led a team of developers to integrate with a variety of peripherals, payment devices, and software services. Back in the northwest now, he’s looking forward to going out in the woods with his wife, his dog, and maybe even his cat.
Kelly loves developing software for different business domains using a variety of technologies. Her favorite thing about software development is learning new skills as the industry evolves. She holds a Master of Computer Science degree from University of Louisiana. Before joining iJet, Kelly has worked on virtual casino games, and home pro network software. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys quality time with family and friends, cooking, hiking, and traveling around the world.
Scott is an experienced systems administrator with experience in monitoring and automation. Originally from Michigan, he has also lived in Arizona, Texas and now Washington. Most recently he was a Systems Engineer with Amazon Web Services working on the Elastic Load Balancing team
Nick provides iJet with a decade of experience in production infrastructure design and automation. Over that time he has built secure, reliable, and performant solutions for companies large and small. Nick comes to iJet from northern Ohio, living most recently in Cleveland where he oversaw the team responsible for technology services at a Payment Card Industry start-up, providing PCI-DSS compliant solutions for hundreds of millions of transactions per day originating everywhere from Singapore to South Africa to Seattle. In his off-time he enjoys running, is an adventurous eater, and loves to head out into the woods with a field guide in one hand and his camera in the other.
Brian has been flipping bits for over 20 years and jumped at the chance to be a team member at iJet. He has worked at large companies, like GE, Philips, and Expedia but really enjoys working at small companies that allow one to wear many hats and learn new things. Brian graduated from University of Maryland and soon after moved West to avoid the humid hot summers. Outside of work Brian enjoys mountain biking, building bike trails, hiking to alpine lakes and most of all skiing with his family.

Hemjo Klein, Executive Chairman
Hemjo Klein joined the iJet Board of Directors as Chairman in January 2015 and brings many years of senior executive experience in the transportation and service industry. He served as Chief Executive Officer, Lufthansa Airlines Passenger Division and Member of the Chief Executive Board Lufthansa Group; Member of the Chief Executive Board at Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national railway organization. Mr. Klein has a long track record as Chairman or Member of International Boards of Directors; i.e. Chairman Supervisory Board Sixt AG; Chairman Board of Directors Amadeus SA; Chairman and CEO EDAG Engineering AG; President German National Tourist Board; Board of Directors Thomas Cook Group Plc.; Board of Directors Convergence CT. Inc.; and Member Supervisory Board DVB Bank. Since 2001, he has held the position of CEO at Live Holding AG, an investment and strategy consulting firm and since 2008 as CEO of TELEFUNKEN SE. Amongst his other achievements his commendations include the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany; Order of Merit Commendatore of the Italian Republic and the Grand Order of Merit Tirol, Austria.
Dr. Thomas Rinderknecht, Director
Dr. Thomas M. Rinderknecht, J.D., M.D., has been practicing commercial law in Europe since 1982. He is a senior partner with Badertscher Rechtsanwälte AG Attorneys in Switzerland, specializing in pharmaceutical and biotech law. Dr. Rinderknecht founded one of the first Swiss venture capital companies VECAP Venture Capital Partners AG, and has been actively involved in the start-up, development and exit of various successful biotech and pharmaceutical companies. He has served on the boards of directors of several biotech, pharma and medtech companies including Speedel AG, Basel, Glycart Biotechnology AG, Schlieren, and Ganymed Pharmaceuticals. He currently serves as chairman of Canyon Pharmaceuticals AG, Zug, and vice-chairman of APR Applied Pharma Research SA, Balerna.
Jan Petter Roed, Co-Founder & Director
Jan Petter (J.P.) Roed is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping, and has deep experience within the commercial and financial operations of the shipping industry. He has owned and operated a mixed fleet of oil and chemical tankers, passenger ferries, container ships, and bulk carriers. He attended the Norwegian Institute of Technology, attaining a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Amongst his other achievements, his commendations include the Order of the North Star, Sweden, and the Order of the Falcon, Iceland. Other interests have ranged from geothermal power plants and windmills in the US and globally, to environmental and safety management in the oil and petrochemical industries. He served as a member of the advisory committee of SeaMobile, Inc.
Torgeir Mantor, Director
Mr. Torgeir Mantor is the Co-Founder of VisionMonitor Software Group and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He has represented investors in the United States and Europe since 1981 and has been actively involved in making and managing investments in industries such as Information Technology, Energy, Independent Power, Real Estate and Food Distribution. Mr. Mantor is a Board member of several companies in the United States, Ireland and Norway. He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
